Security Licence Services

Requirements:

1. Filled out application

• If you have trouble opening the pdf, please save it to your desktop and then open it in adobe (don’t open in browser)

2. Police Information Check

• Cannot be more than 90 days old
• Must be original
• Must include Vulnerable Sector Check
• If there is any kind of criminal record than you must apply to Security Services directly.

3. Passport Photo

• Must be stamped and signed by police service within the last 90 days (COVID Update: photo’s do not need to be signed by police at this time)

4. Canadian Status and Photo ID

• Canadian Status Document (Birth Certificate, Passport, PR, etc.)
• If you are on a work or study permit you must submit your application directly to Security Services.
• If your status has changed from a work permit to a PR then you must also submit directly to Security Services.
• Original valid photo ID (Driver’s Licence, Passport, etc.)

5. Training Requirements

• Must submit training certificate or grading paper to Alberta Justice.
